Focusing on Law Enforcement Officer Health & Wellness

My Perspective

Law enforcement officer health and wellness is crucial as officers must be ready to respond at any moment, even when they are not on duty. Their job to protect civilians is a huge responsibility and I like to give back to them by helping them stay as physically fit and healthy as possible so that they can return safely to their loved ones every day. I am humbled to have had so many opportunities to work with these incredible professionals and I am grateful that I can be of service to them.

My Story

I grew up with my father being in the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police). Due to his position, we moved towns fairly frequently and in each of these towns we found a new police family to be a part of.

I never planned for my path to go towards working with police, however, I knew from a young age that I wanted to help people with injuries and I loved physical fitness.

In 2010, after being an athletic therapist for a few years, I saw an opportunity to work with a local police department. It was a change from working with professional and national level athletes, but I fell in love fast. Little did I know I would fall in love and find a connection back to my roots.
